Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Tank Along Lebanon Border
The group said it targeted an Israeli Merkava tank in the southern Lebanese border town of Qouzah using a guided missile. In a separate statement, Hezbollah claimed it also struck a military helicopter, forcing it to withdraw as it attempted to land to evacuate casualties following the tank strike.
Hezbollah further stated that it attacked a group of Israeli troops at the Shomera barracks in northern Israel with a swarm of drones. Additionally, the group reported targeting an Israeli command headquarters near the Yiftah military barracks with a volley of rockets.
Later, Hezbollah said it also fired rockets at the Israeli army’s Northern Command headquarters at the Dado base north of Safed. The group added that it targeted an artillery position in the Dishon settlement in northern Israel, bringing the total number of its Wednesday attacks to 10.
According to reports, Israel has faced at least 30 rocket strikes from Hezbollah since early Wednesday. The Israeli military has been conducting airstrikes and a ground offensive in southern Lebanon following a cross-border attack by the Iran-backed group on March 2.
